The quirky fashion trend is back this season. Although it’s just a resurgence of the past geek chic trend this year would be a little different. This time it has a new twist which was inspired from influential celebrities like Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe. The classic quirky geek look is among the hottest look fresh from the runway.
The key items that you should have are the brogues, rimmed glasses and skirts. For this season be ready to pair it with cropped tees for an eccentric twist. This look is perfect for the young ladies out there and it’s pretty easy to pull off this look.
The librarian geeky look with emphasis on lace, silk, sheer and laces is also channeling the new geek trend. Mid length skirts paired with these fabrics are essential in achieving this look. If you want to draw inspiration from the tube you can look at Rachel Berry’s outfits in Glee. She’s nerdy and geeky with a modern twist. The runway was also filled with nerds were they showcased mid length skirts, silk shirt dress, socks and sandals. Marc Jacobs, Rodarte, Christopher Kane and Prada had their versions of the new geek chic look.
The designers exercised their creativity by adding a modern touch to the classic geek look. They added loud neon colors, used contrasting lengths, used animal prints and added quirky accessories.
